Air Ambulance Service 1940's
For this week's Throwback Thursday we have found this amazing footage of an Air Ambulance Service flight in Scotland in 1948. The steady pace of this patient transport flight is a far cry from the fast paced emergency response provided by the modern day Air Ambulance Service. Today's service uses helicopters and modern technology such as GPS to provide vital lifesaving treatment to patients in more rural locations as well as patients who need a rapid transfer to hospital.
