First Aid Courses

The health & safety (first aid) regulations 1981 give guidance to all businesses on their first aid provision in the workplace. The number of first aiders required by a business depends on the number of employers, exposure to hazards and risks and other special requirements.

Lessons 4 Life Training provide these courses

  • First aid at work (3 day)
  • Emergency first aid at work (1 day)

We currently deliver courses on behalf of the Football Association and the Rugby Football League. All these courses are booked directly.

We are able to deliver a First Aid for Sport course which provides basic first aid training for coaches, parents and first aiders. This course is suitable for a wide variety of sports.

Ofsted requires all childminders hold a paediatric first aid qualification which…

  • Caters for practitioners caring for children in the absence of their parents
  • Is a minimum of 12 hours long
  • Covers what to include in a first-aid kit for babies and children
  • Demonstrates resuscitation techniques using models of babies and children, and give practitioners a chance to practise on models of each age group
  • Includes how to record accidents and incidents appropriately.

Lessons 4 Life Training provides paediatric first aid (12 hours) course which meets ofsted requirements.

Ofsted and the health & safety executive (first aid) regulations 1981 provide guidance to schools on the provision of first aid for both its staff and pupils. This mixture of adults and children means that a variety of first aid courses are suitable for schools. Lessons 4 Life Training provide these courses for staff:

  • First aid at work (3 days)
  • Emergency first aid at work (1 day)
  • Paediatric first aid (6 hours)
  • Paediatric first aid (12 hours)

Lessons 4 Life Training believes that children in the uk should learn first aid every year, unfortunately this is not a compulsory part of our national curriculum as it is in many other countries worldwide.

We are able to deliver bespoke first aid training for pupils from KS2 to KS4. We have worked with pupils of all ages to give children this vital lifesaving skill.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"In my capacity as PSHCE co-ordinator at Beverley High School, I commissioned Lessons 4 Life to delivery 'what to do in an emergency' training to the whole of year 10 during a wellbeing day. The pupils were all engaged, enthused and completed the sessions fully equipped and eager to make a difference in such emergency situations."

Vicky McCandlish, Beverley High School

"Allison was professional, organised and easy to work with. The way she engaged with the team and delivered the course created an excellent environment; really settled. The feedback from the team was 10/10. Thanks Allison and look forward to working with you again."
